Feel like I've always been living here...
I still can't believe ist - but yesterday I have been here for one week already!!!Seems like time went by pretty fast, although there were really a couple of mornings that felt to be never-ending! Well, I think another 8 weeks is just the right time to be here still...you know I actually wanted to stay for about 3 months initially, but I think this would have been a bit too long...but this is just because things changed just one week before I left Austria! Otherwise it would have been different I guess...but it is perfect the way it is..... : ) (I know, some people might be wondering what the hell I am talking about, but just igonre it ;-) )
I am just going to tell you briefly [UPDATE from one hour later: am unable to write any entry below 1000 words, I am sorry!] about my last two days here in Nannytown Tinton Falls, as I have to go to bed soon (another BEACH DAY waiting for me tomorrow!! :-) ) would have almost fallen asleep this morning when I was watching the kids...and that's not how it's supposed to be, as you can imagine ;-)

"baby-sitting-pool-shopping-day"
Right after breakfast, at about 09.30, Brad and Kathleen went to Belmar Beach with Ryan and Ashley, so I stayed at home and watched Bradey until about 4 pm.
In the morning I was just playing with him inside, and luckily he was quite nice and happy...took him down for a nap at about 11.00 - and my freetime could start - yeeeeah!!! I was so delighted ;-) I mean, how would you feel if you'd have 2 hours in front of you (I was sending ejaculatory prayers up to heaven that Bradey would have his longest nap ever!!) on a bright and sunny day in a huge mansion with a pool in the backyard and kitchen cupboards full of delicious food, nothing else to do than accomplishing one mission : RELAXING...................... ???
So I just grabbed a bottle of water, something to snack, a beach towel, my mp3 player and headed out into the backyard where I placed myself into one of the comfortable deck chairs and lay there for the next 2 hours, doing nothing except turning around from time to time, choosing a nice song and putting a pretzel into my mouth..... What A Life!
But, in fact I, of course, also had the baby's monitor (it's not like a Monitor in german, you can't see anything, just hear) with me outside, and this thing kind of made me nervous, cause you can't really hear the breathing on it as the clock's ticking in Bradey's room is too loud!!! But there are also these little lights that show you that everything's alright, and so I just forced myself not to be worried the whole time...
So after some good songs and grilling every side of myself in the sun, I went in again at about 1.30 - which was the perfect timing, as Bradey was just waking up, and so I got him down, changed his diapers, fed him and could start preparing dinner for myself.
I hadn't even finished when suddelny some nice visitors were ringing the door bell > it was Michaela and little (5 year old) Riley O'Shaughnessy!! They just dropped by to see if they could come into our pool, and as I couldn't reach Brad on his mobile, I just took the decision myself and of course showed great hospitality by letting them come into our nice pool ;-))
So we spent a quite funny afternoon in the backyard, playing with Riley (Hey, btw Michi say hi to Nick + Jim!!), taking some "This Is How Life Should Always Be"-pics of us and just being lazy...... it was really nice that you visited me, I enjoyed it M + R!!! Luckily, when my family came back my pool invitiation seemed to be okay with them, so this worry was also gone. After dinner (kind of BBQ again), I was picked up by Michi + Mr.Convertible and we went to the mall, which I saw for the first time also from the inside (last time, we came too laste) and I really liked it....although we really would have needed some more hours to check out every store.. ;-) Later on, the day died away by watching the romantic movie "Ghost" in my room....
If you are still with me, not watching TV or sleeping already, I am going to tell you how I spent today!

"Exhausting morning entertainment + a truly earned afternoon break ..."
This morning, I was trying to offer the three kids another super interesting unfortgettable active fun time once again! ;-) After breakfast, we went straight for a walk (Yup! In fact, these kids are not as american as you would expect them to be! They were like crying "We wanna go for a walk, pleeeeease!!" and not "We wanna watch TV in order to become really stupid" or "We wanna have fast food in order to get fat") - actually I carried the wagon and Ryan and Ashley were sitting in it, riding through the neighborhood. But this was really good, as I need a little workout anyway and the weather was nice again.
When we got home again, we played this and that in the family room (preferably with the fire rescure car I got Bradey from Austria) and after that we went to the swing-set where we spent about 1 hour and a half I think! And this was SO exhausting! > putting them into/ out of the swings, pushing them all the time, playing sort of ping pong, catching / picking up the toy plane in the grass like 100 times and handing it back to Ryan who was standing in the "first floor" of the swing set, throwing it down again and again, laughing and giggling for happiness about my struggle to play with his favorite toy.....
Thank god it was lunch time suddenly, I had again discovered new muscles!
The kids had crackers with peanut butter and jelly (okay, sometimes americans are a bit lacking in creativityy; this is the only combination they can think of in fact...) and I had toasted bagels with butter, cheese and chicken breast....yummy!
After lunch, I was sooooo tired, so I was incredibly relieved when Kathleen offered me to take the whole afternoon off - as I would be "working and watching the kids in the evening anyway" - and that was really great.... I went to take a nap myself for about an hour and then just checked e-mails, called my Mum, etc...
At 5.30, Brad and Kathleen went out to have dinner because of their 6th wedding anniversary and I stayed at home until about 8.30 with the three kids. Michaela alsto stopped by again and so we played with hem (at the swing-set, you got it!) together!!
And now I'm here! You know nearly everything about my life! lol...
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL SOON -
THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL THE PEOPLE ALWAYS WRITING MY SUCH NICE E-MAILS!!!
Love,
Elis
